Analysis of graphical information in digital learning resources for Informatics

This bachelor thesis is focused on applied graphics used on online learning platforms and its impact on learning process. The aspects and impacts of applied graphics are analysed in the theoretical part. The practical part presents the evaluation criteria for design principles used in the educational materials. There are also suggested analysis methods that are immediately applied to five online platforms chosen from imysleni.cz. These materials are intended for education or self-study of information and communication technologies at lower-secondary schools. The bachelor thesis deals with applied graphics in the educational resources and its impact on learning process. The aspects and impacts of applied graphics are analysed in the theoretical part. Secondly, there are suggested the evaluation criteria for design principles in the educational materials. Subsequently, the analysis methods are set and applied to five selected publications that have been intended for education or self-study of information and communication technologies at lower-secondary schools. THE USE OF PROMOTIONAL GRAPHICS IN PRACTICE

The master thesis consists of two parts. In the theoretical part, applied and computer graphics, fonts, and promotion are discussed. The practical part is aimed at applied graphics based on the graphic art extended by mixed media. Matrices made of zinc-galvanized sheets were etched in nitric acid. A set of graphic works was printed on watercolour papers. Individual graphics were placed at a promotional brochure of the company Printing House David. The brochure promotes the printing house equipment. When prepared the brochure, the software CorelDraw was used. Photos taken on the Printing House David and edited with the use of Adobe Photoshop software package are thematically focused on "printing machines" of the company. The photos are attached to the thesis in a form of sketches.
